The fourth film in the Legends of Racing docuseries, Chasing 200, focused on the life and racing career of Bryan Clauson, will premiere on Wednesday night, May 22, at 7pm Eastern / 4pm Pacific exclusively on FloRacing.

The FloSports Studios original, in association with the United States Auto Club (USAC), will document the sudden rise of a racing prodigy who quickly became a sprint car and midget racing sensation as a teenager before becoming a USAC legend.  He ultimately became one of the sport’s all-time greatest drivers, led the Indianapolis 500 and left a legacy of organ donation that continues to this day.

An advance screening of the film will take place at 7pm Eastern on Monday night, May 22, at the Kan-Kan Cinema, located at 1258 Windsor St, Indianapolis, IN 46201.  Tickets for the screening are sold out.

In only 27 years of life, Clauson accomplished a record few can match in the history of the United States Auto Club.  The California-born racer who made his home in Noblesville, Ind. during his USAC career, won 112 USAC races between 2004 and 2016 and is one of just seven drivers to reach the 100-win mark during his career with the club.  In the process, he became the youngest to reach the feat.

Clauson currently ranks among the top-10 on both the USAC National Sprint Car and USAC National Midget wins list with 41 and 38 wins, respectively, in each division.  He also scored two career USAC Silver Crown victories.  He captured the overall USAC National Driver Championship in 2010-11-12, the USAC National Midget championship in 2010-11 and the USAC National Sprint Car title in 2012 and 2013.

BC made three starts at the Indianapolis 500 and carried the pride of short track racers and fans nationwide at the Brickyard in 2012-15-16.  At the 2016 Indianapolis 500, Clauson was the race leader on lap 100 during the 100th running of The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Amid his pursuit to compete in 200 racing events in a single season, Clauson became the most followed, viewed and successful short track racer in the country.  However, Clauson met a tragic fate in August of 2016 when he succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash while leading the Belleville (Kans.) Midget Nationals.

Today, Bryan Clauson’s name lives on through Driven2SaveLives.  In death, Clauson was able to save five lives as an organ donor and heal countless others as a tissue donor.  His name is also entrenched as the title sponsor of the richest paying midget racing event in the world, the BC39, held annually since 2018 at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Although his life was tragically cut short, Clauson’s impact, inspiration and legacy on and off the racetrack is something that his legion of fans worldwide, and the sport as whole, have not forgotten and will not soon forget.
