The 2024 Women's NCAA Tournament begins on March 22 after teams learned where they were going on Selection Sunday and who they would be playing. With the first round set to begin on March 22, all 64 teams will go head-to head seeking a NCAA Tournament Championship. 

This season in women's basketball has been historic with record breaking moments from the likes of Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, and more.

With WNBA prospects spread across multiple programs, this year's NCAA Tournament is poised to be special.  Here's a look at when the top WNBA prospects are playing heading into the first round.

WNBA Prospects in the NCAA Tournament

Here's when some of the biggest WNBA Draft prospects are playing in the NCAA Tournament. 

Caitlin Clark, Iowa Women's Basketball

Clark is the biggest name in college basketball this year and rightfully so. Earlier this year she broke the all-time NCAA scoring record and broke Stephen Curry's 3-point record. Clark is the No.1 pick on every WNBA Draft board across the country.

Iowa (29-4) is the No.1 seed in the Albany 2 region.

When Does Cailin Clark Play?

Clark and the Hawkeyes will face the winner of Holy Cross and UT Martin on March 23 at 3p.m. EST.

Cameron Brink, Stanford Women's Basketball

The 6-foot-4 senior for Stanford has been considered one of the best inside defenders in the game and recently won Pac-12 Player of the Year for a second time. Brink is No. 2 on WNBA Draft boards and has drawn comparisons to stars like A'ja Wilson.

Stanford (28-5) is the No.2 seed in the Portland 4 region.

When Does Cameron Brink play?

Brink and the Cardinals will face No.15 Norfolk on March 22 at 1 p.m.

Aaliyah Edwards, UConn Women's Basketball

Edwards has been having a career year at UConn averaging 17 ppg on 59% shooting from the field. 

This ranks Edwards in the top 15 for field goal percentage across the NCAA. Paired with Paige Bueckers, Edwards could have an explosive NCAA Tournament.  She is a solidified first rounder and potential lottery pick on WNBA Draft boards. 

UConn (29-5) is the No.3 seed in the Portland 3 region. 

When Does Aaliyah Edwards play?

Edwards and the Huskies will face No.14 Jackson State on March 23 at 1 p.m.

Angel Reese, LSU Women's Basketball

Reese is one of the biggest faces in college basketball with a game that matches. She is considered one of the toughest competitors in the nation. At 6-foot-3, Reese is one of college basketball's best defenders with her length, athleticism and defensive IQ. Reese is solidified first rounder and potential lottery pick on WNBA Draft boards.

Last year, Reese was an essential part in LSU's run to the 2023 National Championship, where the Tigers defeated No.2 Iowa 102-85 in the final. 

LSU (28-5) is the No.3 seed in the Albany 2 region.

When Does Angel Reese play?

Reese and the Tigers will face No.14 Rice on March 22 at 4 p.m.

Kamilla Cardoso, South Carolina Women's Basketball

Cardoso is a pro ready center at 6-foot-7 who has been leading the Gamecocks as they remain undefeated on the season. She leads the team in scoring averaging 14 ppg along with six rebounds per game. 

With her size and physicality she has already drawn comparisons similar to Brittney Griner and Aliyah Boston. Cardoso is solidified first rounder and potential lottery pick on WNBA Draft boards.

South Carolina (32-0) is the No.1 seed in the Albany 1 region.

When Does Kamilla Cardoso play?

Cardoso and the Gamecocks will face the winner of Sacred Heart and Presbyterian on March 22 at 3p.m.

When Is The WNBA Draft 2024?

The WNBA Draft is scheduled for April 15 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York.  

This marks the first time the WNBA Draft will be a seated event with fans in attendance since the 2014-2016 drafts held at Mohegan Sun Arena.

When Does The Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament Start?   

The Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament begins on March 20 with the with the First Four. The round of 64 begins March 22 and the Women's Final Four is March 24.
