The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series hosted Golden Isles Speedway's Super Bowl of Racing finale on Saturday, a three-day event that concluded with a 60-lap, $25,000-to-win feature attracting the majority of the sport's biggest names.

Ricky Thornton Jr. overpowered Chris Madden and midrace leader Jonathan Davenport to capture his first victory of the 2024 season a year after winning a Lucas Oil Series record 19 full-field features.

Two cautions for touring campaigners Tim McCreadie (lap 49) and Tyler Erb (lap 52) slowed the main event. Thursday's opening night winner Hudson O'Neal finished seventh. Brandon Overton started 11th and finished fourth.

Garrett Smith was supposed start from the pole on Saturday, but was penalized and put to the tail at the start of the main event for employing an NLMT-3 tire on the right-front when the series rule for Georgia-Florida Speedweeks requires drivers to run NLMT-2s except for the right-rear.
