GEORGETOWN, DE – Georgetown’s biggest weekend. The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco 10th anniversary season will see its final checkered flag fall at a traditional venue: Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway on Fri.-Sat. Oct. 27-28.

The annual ‘Mid-Atlantic Championship’ will once again be the finale for the STSS, as the champions of both the Rent Equip/Party Central South Region STSS Modifieds and Belmont’s Garage South Region STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will be crowned.

The weekend kicks off with an action-packed Friday (Oct. 27) night, as the PA/NJ Spec Small-Block Modifieds take center stage going for 30-laps and a potential $5,000 top prize with the posted ‘Gamblers Fee’ pre-race.

Also on tap for the Friday night program are heat races for the Millman’s NAPA STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds and time trials and heat races for the Stockley Tavern Speed & Supply Super Late Models.

Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Delaware Super Trucks and Delmarva Chargers will all be on tap for the Friday portion of the weekend.

On Saturday (Oct. 28), the STSS Modifieds take the part of top billing, going for 40-laps and a potential $7,000 top prize with the posted ‘Gamblers Fee.’ Consolations will precede the 40-lap main event.

The race represents the final points-paying event of 2023 for STSS Modifieds, Round No. 7 of the Rent Equip/Party Central South Region.

The Stockley Tavern Speed & Supply Super Late Models will also run consolation events to set the field for their respective 40-lap, $7,000-to-win (with the posted ‘Gamblers Fee’) feature event.

The Blue Hen Dispose-All STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will round out their season as well, with a 25-lap, $2,000-to-win feature event. The event serves as the Championship Round of the Belmont’s Garage South Region.

Crate Late Models have been adjusted to the Saturday program for the 2023 edition.

Also on Saturday’s racing card are the Little Lincolns, Delmarva Chargers, and Delaware Super Trucks in 12-lap, features only affairs.

The weekend of racing will not be the final one for Georgetown Speedway however, as the rescheduled Gary Simpson Memorial ‘$12K for the 12K’ will take place on Saturday, November 11.

Both nights of racing, along with every STSS race in 2023, will be broadcast LIVE on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv).
