DIRTcar UMP Modifeds will help kick off the Dirt Track World Championship’s first appearance at Eldora Speedway on Friday night with a large entry list that will rival the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.  A total of 74 cars are pre-entered for the Modified portion of the Dirt Track World Championship, with many of the division's biggest stars making the trip to “The Big E.”

The entry list is led off by the likes of former UMP Modified National Champion Nick Hoffman, Lethal Chassis boss man David Stremme and current UMP National points runner-up Mike McKinney.  Both Hoffman and Stremme are former winners at Eldora, while McKinney is looking for his first.

They will have to fend off the likes of current Eldora Speedway points leader Jonathan Taylor, defending Modified track champion Dylan Woodling, and former track champions Brian Ruhlman, Jerry Bowersock, Jeff Koz.  Also entered is Charlie Mefford, a viral sensation during the 2022 Gateway Dirt Nationals, who won recorded first DIRTcar Nationals Modified win at Volusia Speedway Park back in February.

The full entry list can be found below.

The Dirt Track World Championship for the UMP Modifieds kicks off Thursday night with qualifying, heat races and B-Mains, with a full Super Stock program also on tap.  The Modifieds then return on Friday night for the $5,000 to win A-Feature alongside qualifying and heat races for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.  The $100,000 to win Dirt Track World Championship will be Saturday night, where the 2023 series champion will be crowned.  The Steel Blocks will join the card on Saturday with a complete program.

Fans unable to attend this year's Dirt Track World Championships will be able to watch all three nights of racing live on FloRacing. If you're not a FloRaing subscriber, click here to sign up today.
