Eldora Million Hot Laps

Logan Schuchart of Hanover, Pa., laid down a scorching lap of 13.079 seconds to pace Group A's warmup session. Daryn Pittman, filling in Alex Bowman's No. 55, followed with a lap of 13.248 seconds. Kyle Larson (13.360), Hunter Schuerenberg (13.321) and Brent Marks (13.322) complete Group A's top five.

Rico Abreu of St. Helena, Calif., led the way in Group B with his lap of 13.341 seconds. David Gravel (13.479), Kerry Madsen (13.503), Chase Randall (13.589) and Carson Macedo (13.614) filed behind Abreu in Group B.

Anthony Macri Out, Lance Dewease In The No. 39M

It was announced this morning that @LanceDewease will replace Anthony Macri aboard the @Macri39M Sprint car for the #EldoraMillion at @EldoraSpeedway.

Stunning news broke Wednesday morning that Lance Dewease will drive the Macri Motorsports No. 39M machine at the Eldora Million as a substitute for Anthony Macri, who's stepped away from the team for at least the time being.

The 24-year-old Macri and last year's winningest Sprint Car driver in the country told FloRacing's Tyler Burnett he won't be participating in the record-paying event. Bernie Stuebgen, car owner of the Indy Race Parts No. 71 driven by Shane Stewart this week, offered Macri a last-minute ride in a second car but the Dillsburg, Pa., driver declined.

The team said to "stay tuned for future announcements" regarding Macri's future in their news-breaking social media post that revealed the driver change early Wednesday.
