As the calendar almost flips to July, the winningest 410 Sprint Car competitor in the country isn’t a World of Outlaws star, an All Star Circuit of Champions regular, or even a true outlaw – it’s one of the Pennsylvania Posse’s finest, Freddie Rahmer.

On Thursday at Lincoln Speedway, the Salfordville, PA son of Sprint Car legend Fred Rahmer dominated all 30 laps in the fourth round of PA Speedweek to score a convincing $10,000 score ahead of Anthony Macri and Brent Marks.

All nine of his 2023 victories have come aboard the Rich Eichelberger owned #8, which he has driven to Lincoln victory lane on seven occasions this year to bump his career total to 31 wins at the Abbottstown, PA oval – which ranks 12th all-time in track history.

Rahmer’s third career PA Speedweek victory gave him a much needed boost up the standings as the mini-series hits the halfway point with four races down and four races to go. Following his first win of the week, Rahmer shot from fifth up to second in the points and now trails Macri by 106 markers.

The race went caution-free for the first 27 laps until two PA Speedweek championship contenders suffered misfortune in back-to-back moments. First, Tanner Thorson saw his career-best Pennsylvania 410 run vanish before his eyes when a flat right rear tire eliminated the Aaron Long #58 while running second-place. After that, seventh-running Danny Dietrich hopped a tire on the ensuing restart and the #48 went around in turn one.

With Macri coming in second-from-seventh – by only 0.041-seconds – he kept his remarkable streak of four consecutive top-two finishes to open PA Speedweek alive. He edged out Wednesday’s winner Brent Marks in third-place, who nabbed his third podium in four races this week.

Tonight, Friday, June 30, the fifth round of the 33rd annual PA Speedweek heads to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA. It’s the most prestigious race of the week, offering $20,000-to-win the Mitch Smith Memorial.

The mini-series returns live on FloRacing when Port Royal Speedway hosts their two dates on Saturday, July 1 and Monday, July 3.
