For the second year in a row, all 10 rounds of the Cook Out Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be broadcast live as part of the FloRacing subscription. The Summer Shootout is a Legends Car and Bandolero series that has produced NASCAR Cup Series champions like Joey Logano and Chase Elliott.

The Summer Shootout consists of 10 rounds across eight weeks. The racing takes place on the quarter-mile infield oval on the frontstretch at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Each year, the Summer Shootout puts the next generation of racing stars in the spotlight while providing a fun, family atmosphere for motorsports fans young and old.

Many of America’s most successful race car drivers got their start racing at the Summer Shootout prior to making it to the top levels of the sport.

Joey Logano started his career at the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Thursday Thunder Legends Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He’s since gone on to become a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion. The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion, Chase Elliott, got his start the same way. William Byron, Ryan Blaney, and Bubba Wallace also got their starts at the Summer Shootout.

Each year, more than 100 drivers make their way to the Summer Shootout to battle on the tight quarter-mile oval. They will compete across seven divisions. Those divisions include the Masters, Pros, Semi-Pros, Young Lions, Bandolero Bandits, Bandolero Outlaws, and Bandolero Beginner Bandits.

The 2023 Cookout Summer Shootout will kick off on Monday, June 12, and Tuesday, June 13 for the first two rounds of the 10-round season. The season will end on Tuesday, August 1.
