Sliding past race-long leader Gordy Gundaker entering turn three on the 47th lap, 14th-starting Brandon Sheppard of New Berlin, Illinois led the rest of Monday's Farmer City 74 for a $25,000 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory. Sheppard captured the rain-postponed Illinois Speedweek finale in taking the checkers 1.252 seconds ahead of Gundaker.

Sheppard earned his 27th career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory. He's the 11th series winner of 2023. Gordy Gundaker, trying to become the tour's 89th winner, led his first-ever laps on the Lucas Oil tour; he was out front the first 46 circuits. Brandon Overton entered the race leading Lucas Oil points and contended early before fading. Hudson O'Neal regained the points lead. Monday's program completed the Lucas Oil's Farmer City debut rained out Friday during consolation race action.
