Dirt Late Model racers throughout the country are tired of sitting on the sidelines as Mother Nature takes a toll on the early-season schedule. As a result, many of the sport's stars are packing up their trailers and heading to Wheatland, Missouri this weekend for the MLRA Spring Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway.

MAVTV on FloRacing has added the race to its schedule and will stream both nights of racing live from Lucas Oil Speedway.

The month of March has not been kind to the two national Dirt Late Model touring series: the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and World of Outlaws Late Models. A month that started with seven race days on the schedule between the two series ended without a single race being contested.

Now, as the month comes to a close and we turn the calendar to April, drivers are getting the itch to go racing.

This weekend, a handful of drivers from both the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and World of Outlaws Late Model Series will make their way to Lucas Oil Speedway for two days of racing.

Drivers planning to compete in the event this weekend include: 2022 Eldora Million winner Jonathan Davenport, current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points leader Ricky Thornton, Jr. and five-time DIRTcar Summer Nationals champion Bobby Pierce.

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series regulars Garrett Alberson and Earl Pearson, Jr. are also planning on making the trip to Wheatland.

The national touring series invaders will face off against MLRA's best, including defending series champion Chad Simpson.

In addition to serving as an opportunity to race, this weekend's event is also a tune-up for the $50,000-to-win Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 that will be held at Lucas Oil Speedway on May 27.

Friday's MLRA event will pay $5,000 to the winner, while Saturday's main event will see the winner walk away with $10,000.

Fans unable to make it to Wheatland, Missouri will be able to watch both nights of racing live on FloRacing. If you're not already a FloRacing subscriber, click here to sign up today
