The stars are going to shine at Jacksonville, North Carolina’s New River All-American Speedway during the second running of the Battle of the Stars on Saturday, March 4, and they’ll do so for the first time ever live on FloRacing.

FloRacing, the home for all things NASCAR Roots and the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series will broadcast flag-to-flag coverage of the 200-lap Late Model Stock Car event that will see one lucky winner take home a nice $20,000 check.

“I’m really excited to have Solid Rock Carriers and Kirk Ipock back on board for the Battle of the Stars, and now I’m really excited to have NASCAR, FloRacing, and Advance Auto Parts on board as well,” said Anthony Goodyear, the owner of New River All-American Speedway. “I think it’s going to open a lot of doors for the local racers, so I’m excited to get ready for the second annual Battle of the Stars.”

Goodyear said that so far the track has received 32 pre-entries, but he expects even more drivers and teams will be in attendance come race day.

Some of the big names that have already filed entries include three-time CARS Tour champion Bobby McCarty, 2023 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Pro Late Model champion Conner Jones, 2022 Hampton Heat 200 winner Jared Fryer, and Dylan Newsome who won track championships at New River All-American Speedway and Carteret County Speedway last year.

The New River All-American Speedway is a 4/10-mile D-shaped short track that has proved tricky for many drivers since it was built at the turn of the millennium in 2000. Goodyear and his wife, Tonya, purchased the track in 2021. The track has been previously named Coastal Plains Raceway and Goodyear All-American Speedway before being renamed as New River All-American Speedway this past winter.
