The big day has arrived at the 37th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals. Following five days of preliminary action, it's all about feature races on Saturday. The traditional alphabet soup will take place throughout the day leading into the C-Mains, B-Mains and A-Main live on MAVTV on FloRacing to end the night.

A-Main Recap

Starting from the pole position, Logan Seavey jumped out to the early lead before Cannon McIntosh began to mount a challenge for the lead. McIntosh eventually made his way by Seavey for the lead on lap 19. Seavey remained within striking distance of McIntosh before pouncing on a lap 29 restart to take the lead. At that point of the race, defending winner Tanner Thorson entered the picture and began stalking Seavey for the lead. Thorson stuck to Seavey like glue but wasn't able to make the pass for the lead on a restart with two laps remaining.

What To Expect Saturday 

It's alphabet soup time at the Chili Bowl. Beginning with the P-Mains earlier this morning, drivers will attempt to work their way forward through the alphabet. Eyes will be glued on drivers as they pass cars and advance through each round. 

Six cars will transfer out of each feature until we reach the G-Main. At that time, five drivers will advance from each feature until the B-Feature. The B-Feature will be the last chance for drivers to qualify for the main event, with the top seven finishers from each B qualifying to the A. 

Also on tap for today is the pole shuffle, which will determine the top 10 starting positions for the A-Main later this evening. 

Alphabet Soup Notes: 

• Kris Carroll stole the show during the alphabet soup, setting a Chili Bowl record by advancing through seven rounds. Carroll advanced to finish seventh in an H-Main from the eighth starting position in an N-Main. Overall, he gained 61 positions during his run through the alphabet soup. 
• Tanner Berryhill made an impressive run through the soup, making his way from an H-Main to an E-Main. He came up one spot short of advancing through to a D-Main. 
• Buddy Kofoid, a driver considered a favorite entering the event, saw his Chili Bowl come to an end after a flip in a D-Main.
