Tulsa Shootout Entry List Exceeds 1,000 Entries
For the ninth consecutive year, the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout has exceeded 1,000 entries.
It’s not called “The Mecca of Micros” for nothing. At 1,414 entries – and counting – the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout has exceeded the millennium mark for the ninth consecutive year.
The upcoming 38th running – scheduled for December 27-31 inside the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma – has already secured the second-highest mark and still has a chance to top last year’s edition (1,661) for the most entries in event history.
588 drivers from 35 states and four countries (USA, Canada, Australia, Netherlands) currently make up the massive 1,414 entries across six divisions.
Individually, each class is on the cusp of breaking their 2022 records as well:
Winged Outlaw – 199 cars (Record – 254)
Outlaw Non-Wing – 321 cars (Record – 389)
Stock Non-Wing – 359 cars (Record – 418)
A-Class – 332 cars (Record – 383)
Restricted – 120 cars (Record – 121)
Jr. Sprints – 83 cars (Record – 96)
A collection of 139 drivers are currently signed up for the daunting “Quadruple Duty” slate with entries in the primary four divisions of Winged Outlaw, Outlaw Non-Wing, Stock Non-Wing, and A-Class. Only 15 drivers in history have previously qualified for all four mains in the same running – three did it last year led by Emerson Axsom, TJ Smith, and Tommy Kunsman.
Additionally, three of last year’s six Golden Driller winners – Craig Ronk in Winged Outlaw, Jake Hagopian in A-Class, and Jett Nunley in Restricted – are already entered and ready to defend their titles in Tulsa.

The 38th annual Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout officially begins on Tuesday, December 27 with practice in the morning and racing at night. The event concludes with “Driller Day” on Saturday, December 31 and every lap in between can be seen LIVE on FloRacing.
