Daryn Pittman scored his second win of the season at Billings (Montana) Motorsports Park on Saturday night. Pittman's first win of the year came earlier this month at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri.

Pittman, who started fourth, slid by points leader Donny Schatz to take second place on lap seven before getting the chance to pass Friday night's winner and pole sitter Shane Stewart on lap nine.

Stewart had the early lead but left the top open for Pittman, who was improving his position with every lap. Notably, it was the cushion that Stewart used so well to his advantage the night before.

Pittman barely had his lead when the first caution flag of the night waved. Pittman would survive three more before the night was over.

The last two cautions both occurred with three laps to go. Jac Haudenschild drove off the track in turn four while running in the top 10 to bring out a red flag. Once the field got reset and the green waved, Stewart was able to match Pittman's speed but couldn't make the pass before Dominic Scelzi, who was running fourth at the time, jumped the cushion bringing out the second caution on the lap. Stewart matched Pittman again but couldn't make the pass for the lead.

"I ran my worst corner of the race on the last restart. I thought I gave it away," Pittman said in Victory Lane. "It's been a tough season, hat's off to Justin Adams. He came in as crew chief last weekend, and we've had a really consistent car since then."

Pittman's team owner and NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne was in attendance for the win due to the off weekend in his schedule. The sprint and stock car driver was proud of the team's work on the car.

"These guys work really hard," Kahne said. "It never stops. Great to see a lot of fans here. I thought it was great."

Pittman added, "It's great to have Kasey here helping out on his off weekend. I don't have a clue what's in this thing and it's probably better that way."

After winning Friday night, Stewart had to make due with a second-place finish.

"I tried to hit my marks on the restarts. I got close to Daryn, but could never clear him for the slider. Overall, a solid weekend for LMR," Stewart said.

The points leader Schatz grabbed the final podium finish.

"We had a decent car throughout the night," Schatz said. "I couldn't really make the bottom work in three and four. Sometimes you have to take what you get."

By finishing one position in front of Brad Sweet, Schatz increased his points lead over the second-place driver in the standings. Jason Johnson rounded out the top five.
