A-Main

10 laps into the 50 laps feature: Gravel is pulling away slightly as Schatz and K. Madsen battle for second. Sweet and T McCarl round out the top-five.
Schatz caught Gravel on lap 17 but could not keep it at the line, Gravel continues to lead.
First Caution on Lap 19: Austin McCarl is up in smoke, flames from the left side of the car. 31 laps to go.
Second Caution on Lap 22: This time for the race leader! Gravel was pulling away again when he lost his throttle and came to a start of a turn number four. Gravel is skipping the work area and driving straight to the trailer. The night is over for Thursday night's "Mr. Perfect".
Racing returns with Kyle Larson in fifth, after starting the night in 9th. On the restart, Larson slid passed Stewart and worked his way passed Sweet to claim third before the next caution. Third Caution on Lap 25: T. McCarl slows on the last lap before the midway competition caution, will be credited with the caution and moved to the back.
Midway at Knoxville: Teams refueling
Lap 26: Schatz and K. Madsen fight hard on the restart, nearly crash each other, Larson takes it as an opportunity to pass Madsen, not quiet enough to pass Schatz.
Fourth Caution on Lap 38: Greg Hodnett rolls to a stop in turn four with 12 laps remaining. Schatz loses his 2 second plus lead, time for Larson to make a move.
Lap 45: Schatz has started to pull away again. Lead is more than a second over Larson. K. Madsen is working on Larson
Final: Schatz wins after multiple attempts by Larson to pass him. Just didn't have enough to pass him, tapped the wall once.
Schatz is now a ten-time Knoxville nationals winner. Less than a month after winning the King's Royal.

B-Main

Sides hold on to win, but the real battle was for the transfer. Starks wants it more than Lucas Wolfe and finished 4th. Brooke Tatnell is 3rd and Tim Shaffer takes the second position. They all have a shot at the $150,000-to-win A-Main.
Trey Starks is looking to make his 1st A-Main in the Knoxville Nationals, but Jason Sides pushes him back. Once in the eye of the storm, Starks gets dropped to 5th - one spot out of the transfer.
Hard luck continues for Spencer Bayston as he hits the wall at the halfway point.
