Saturday Live From Tri-State: Triple Threat Weekend
We will be with you live Saturday night as the Super Stock Triple Threat Weekend gets underway.
A-Main: Robby Arnold made up eight car lengths in the last five laps and passed Tony Anglin on the high side to win the second night of the Super Stock Triple Threat Weekend by a nose. Arnold finished third in night one; Anglin was 11th last night. Burl Woods, H Palmer, and Kyle Slader unofficially round out the top Five.
Palmer took to the high side and grabbed the lead on the first lap, but Woods doesn't let him go and grabbed the lead back a few later. Arnold lurked and charged hard at the end.
B-Main 2: Brandon Henry works traffic and runs over the side of a lapper, climbs the side of his car and keeps on rolling. James Flood, Robert Knowles, JD Jackson, and Chuck Knight round out the top five.
B-Main 1: Robbie Arnold wins by a comfortable margin. Andy Morris, Grant Davis, Jimmy Douglas and Ty Evans round out the top five and advance to the A-Main.
Last night's winner Dylan Davlin did not race into the A. Last night was a dry track; tonight was wet and tacky.
Heat 4: Top five were covered by a tarp most of the race, but Randy Moses Jr. holds off Tommy New and Roy Long.
Heat 3: Kyle Slader wins by a straightaway. Heated battle for second through fourth settled with Darren Crisler in second and Tony Anglin third to advance.
Heat 2: H Palmer wins with Boone Johnson and Derek Brown also advancing to the the A-Main.
Heat 1: Burl Woods wins. Neil Johnston and Jay Arnold also advance to the A-Main. That also gives Woods the pole for tonight's $3,000-to-win feature.
IMCA Modifieds will be the 1st to hit the track.
Tonight's lineup includes 10 Modifieds and 33 stocks. Three Super Stock drivers will advance to the A-Main through four heat races; two will be promoter's provisionals, and the rest will race in through the B-Mains.
