Week In Late Models: Winners Abound
Rain finally held off in the middle of the country long enough to allow the late model drivers to get some laps in the books.

More than half a dozen different drivers visited Victory Lane in the notable touring divisions, including Shane Clanton and Brandon Sheppard in the World of Outlaws plus Scott Bloomquist and Jimmy Owens in the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series. This shook up the FloRacing Late Model Power Rankings and gave the fans of those drivers a chance to lay claim to superiority.

Perhaps the most interesting storyline this week bridged two series. Brandon Overton overtook Dale McDowell in traffic to win a Southern All Star Series race at the Talladega Short Track in Estaboga, AL, on Saturday. When the pair clashed the next night, it was McDowell prevailing over Overton. In Victory Lane, McDowell proclaimed it was proof the world was a globe because what goes around comes around.
