Joe & Nick Fabrizius had the vision of creating a family friendly race track in 1960. After the passing of Joe and Nick, their family created a night to honor them, with the first edition of this race being held in 2004. Since that debut, the Joe & Nick Memorial has been one of the most coveted prizes in Midwestern Late Model racing.
Every year, the race distance is increased by one lap to make it just it a just a little more difficult to win. That seems to be working, as there has not yet been a repeat winner yet. This year, a bonus has been added to the pot for anyone who can repeat.
The 2017 edition of this race will be contested over 54 laps.
