The Super Stock Triple Threat Weekend at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK, is going to be like nothing seen before in the region, and it is streaming LIVE on FloRacing.

The 0.375-mile dirt track will host super stock racers from around the country, and they have all been drawn there for a chance to win up to $9,000 if anyone can sweep the weekend. The unique format gives racers a chance to run three complete programs of heats, qualifiers, and A-Mains that pay $3,000 each night.

That means if anyone has a bad race the first time out, there is still a chance to pocket $3,000 on both nights two and three. As a result, the car count is going to be high and the competition level fierce on Friday, May 26, to Sunday, May 28.

Who To Watch

Chuck Knight
The 63-year-old Knight has been racing since he was a teenager and has numerous track championships. Some of those came at Tri-State before he tried his hand at touring with the NASCAR All-Pro Series.

"I started racing at the age of 15," Knight said. "My dad was a flag man, and my granddad was a racer. I've been in it all my life. At the age of 15, it was my time to drive the family car, and that's how I started."

Jim Philpot
With his auto and race shop located 20 minutes away in Greenwood, AR, there was no doubt where Philpot would race this weekend. He alternates most weekends between Pocola; Batesville, AR; or the lake, but $3,000 to win each night got his attention.

"I'm really looking for a hometown boy to win it," Philpot said. "It just makes the bragging rights better."

Grant Davis
Davis is another racer who cut his teeth at Tri-State -- and he got started before his teen years. "I started when I was 12 years old at Tri-State Speedway," Davis said. "From there on, I've just been basically at Tri-State, Crawford County, and Outlaw Motor Speedway."

Even though he splits his time among different tracks, Davis has plenty of laps around this track, and he's put that experience to good use. Three weeks ago, he won an A-Main at Tri-State.

Neil Johnston
"I've made a million laps around that track," Johnston said. "There's no place like home,"

Johnston is a 34-year-old local racer who took his first laps at Tri-State 21 years ago. Johnston placed second in the bombers division his first year on the track and then one-upped that by winning the championship as a sophomore.
